With technological evolution becoming an essential part of modern life, it is crucial to discuss the risks and opportunities related to cybersecurity and environmental impact. Newman Educational (USA) and Southeast Missouri State University (USA), in partnership with the State University of Amazonas (BR), have joined forces to organize the Conference on Public Policy, Arts and Technology, with the theme: “É a Segurança Eleitoral e Cibernética Sustentável?”, which will take place from April 29 to May 1, 2026, at Southeast Missouri State University, located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, United States. Judge Vânia Marinho (TJAM) will preside over the event, bringing her vast experience and actively contributing to the discussions.
The event aims to bring together policymakers, technologists, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss innovative solutions and strategies that promote a safer and more sustainable future.
Goals:
Justice Vania Marinho holds a bachelor's degree in Law from the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam), a specialization in Environmental Legislation, Civil Law, and Civil Procedure, and a master's degree in Criminal Environmental Law. She joined the Public Prosecutor's Office in 1998, serving in the Judicial Districts of Tefé and Silves, as well as in the 44th Public Prosecutor's Office (assigned to the 1st Municipal Public Treasury Court), the 18th Public Prosecutor's Office for Environmental Protection, and the 52nd Public Prosecutor's Office for Urban Planning. She also served as a prosecutor in the 28th Public Prosecutor's Office for Childhood and Youth, appearing before the Specialized Court for Childhood and Youth in the Judicial District of Manaus.
In the academic sphere, Justice Marinho has served as a tenured professor at the UEA since 2006, teaching courses in Environmental Law and Child and Adolescent Law, in addition to specialized courses on Environmental Legislation. In 2021, she assumed the position of Justice at the Court of Justice of the State of Amazonas.
